Now for that bread pudding. We tried this in Carmel and quizzed the waitress. I think what made it so good was the caramel and applesauce. The second one I tried making I added chopped up apples. Instead of tasting like sweet cooked apples it was more like chewy cooked apple chips.

Spread a thin layer of caramel in the bottom of the pan.
